Priyanka Joshi, MD

MSHP Student

Priyanka Joshi is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellow at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is also an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab and an associate fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Joshi is interested in policy-focused health services research that improves health care outcomes and impacts health care utilization for urban underserved youth and their families. Her recent research has been focused on produce access and how to optimize benefit utilization in WIC-eligible populations. 

Dr. Joshi received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from The Ohio State University. She subsequently served as a Teach for America Corps member in Washington, D.C. She received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. While in medical school, she developed a comprehensive sexual education curriculum for public schools in partnership with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She subsequently completed her residency in Pediatrics at CHOP.
