Jadry Gruen, MD

MSHP Student

Jadry Gruen, MD, is a cardiology fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and will serve as a co-chief for the 2023-2024 academic year. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science at Davidson College and her MD at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Jadry completed Internal Medicine training at Yale University, where she served as a Chief Resident for Quality and Safety. She developed a passion for implementing Quality Improvement strategies to expand access to care for patients, particularly for those with advanced cardiovascular diseases. She is a student in the Master’s in Science Health Policy Research program with a Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety and plans to pursue a career in academic cardiology. Her goal is to study the implementation of palliative care practices within cardiology and build supportive programs for patients with advanced heart diseases.
