Melissa Montoya, MD

Dr. Melissa Montoya is a Complex Family Planning fellow at Penn. She was raised in the Los Angeles area and obtained her undergraduate degree from Stanford University where she majored in Human Biology. She subsequently received her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she also completed a masters in bioethics and medical humanities. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Duke University. Through the MSHP, Dr. Montoya is interested in exploring how health policy impacts abortion access and care for underserved, marginalized communities.
