Emna Bakillah, MD

Dr. Emna Bakillah is a PGY4 General Surgery resident at Penn. She was raised in the Philadelphia area and obtained her undergraduate degree from Drexel University where she majored in Biology. She subsequently received her medical degree from the Drexel Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Through the MSHP, Dr. Bakillah is interested in identifying the barriers in access to surgical care specifically in immigrant and underinsured populations and exploring ways in which to overcome them.
