Betsy Salazar, MD
Dr. Betsy Salazar is a fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology with minors in Neuroscience and Global Health and Health Policy from Princeton University. She graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She was a pediatric resident and chief resident at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she received an advanced skill in Business Administration. Betsy's research evaluates how the structure and process of the perinatal health system impact the quality of perinatal outcomes and costs of care. Currently, her work focuses on assessing quality measures for the moderate and late preterm infant population. In the future, she aims to become an independently-funded health services researcher studying quality assessment in other neonatal populations, optimal location of care, and organizational culture’s impact on quality of care.
