Grace Ng
Grace Ng is a fourth year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. Originally from the Chicago area, she graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Symbolic Systems (a program that combines neuroscience and computer science) and a minor in Biology. Her previous research work has focused largely on computational neuroscience, but during medical school, she has also deepened her interest in studying the social structures and policies that shape the health and well-being of local communities. At Penn, she has been involved in medical education initiatives to develop social medicine courses and implicit bias trainings for medical students, various community clinics including the Philadelphia Human Rights Clinic, and health advocacy projects in collaboration with various community organizations. Through the MSHP, she plans to conduct research in the areas of health equity and reducing bias in medical decision-making.
