Yasaman Fatemi, MD
Dr. Yasaman (Yasi) Fatemi is a fellow in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is originally from Iran and moved to the U.S. with her family as a young child. She grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Neurobiology and Science in Human Culture. She earned her medical degree at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. She then completed her pediatrics residency training at Mayo Clinic and served as a chief resident for the pediatric residency program prior to pursuing fellowship training. She is pursuing the MSHP degree with a concentration in Healthcare Quality & Safety as part of her fellowship within the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She is a 2020 Fellow in Diagnostic Excellence through the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM), funded through the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Her scholarly interests include diagnostic stewardship and the intersection with cognitive bias.
