Lindsay Haines, MD
Dr. Lindsay Haines, MD is a Hospice and Palliative Medicine attending at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BA in Economics from Yale University and received her MD with Distinction in Research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Lindsay completed her internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in defining the unique palliative care needs for acutely seriously ill patients (particularly trauma patients), determining how to efficiently meet these needs, and understanding what gaps in training exist for both palliative and non-palliative clinicians caring for this population. She is also interested in the role of early and longitudinal palliative care involvement on decision making for patients with uncertain long-term functional prognoses.
