Sarah Horvath, MD
Sarah Horvath (Family Planning) studied theater as an undergraduate at UCLA. While volunteering in a disappointing swing state election campaign, she realized that she wanted to make a larger contribution toward equality in the US. She then attended The University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine where the combination of the Health Care Disparities course and Medical Students for Choice set her destiny. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York before moving to Philadelphia, where she is a clinical fellow at the Penn Family Planning and Pregnancy Loss Center. Her particular interests include reproductive rights, policy and their effects on access to women’s health care. She sees the MSHP as a launch pad to an exciting career in research and advocacy.
