Nabila Dahodwala, MD, MS

Nabila Dahodwala, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.  She received her MD from Columbia University and completed her residency in Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed a clinical fellowship at the Philadelphia VA’s Parkinson’s Disease Research, Education and Clinical Care center (PADRECC) and a health policy fellowship through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. 

In addition to her clinical interests in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, Dr. Dahodwala's research interests relate to health services and health policy. She leads a number of projects that study patient, physician and health system- level barriers to high value care for patients with neurodegenerative diseases.  Specifically, these projects include: 1) investigations into the causes of healthcare disparities in the detection and treatment of parkinsonism; 2) the development of screening tools to detect early parkinsonism in community settings; and 3) the study and treatment of non-motor features in Parkinson’s disease.
